    CHIRP has the capability to gather more data to render into the displayed image ...

    Sometimes it's noticeable - sometimes not = environmental variables play a huge role ...
    ----

    Side note: a HB CHIRP unit will be a newer model than a non-CHIRP model (of the same size) and available for service and updates longer ...
