Every time I go out with this unit it just blows me away with the clarity and just how good this unit is......I can only imagine what models a year or two down the road will be like. I was looking for crappie......and other specie.....but none were to be found during my searches down river. Decided to do a little scanning on way back to ramp to try and find something to save the day. The images show KY bass......but the most impressive.....to me......is the bluegill under the tree. The unit helped me turn what was looking like a bad day into a very good one. Just 2 pics of some KY bass out of several dozen I caught using the UL rod and 2# test line. Life is good!

Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
Very nice!

That is some cool shots
Totally awesome! Now that's clarity!
Very cool.
I don't mind admitting that I'm somewhat frustrated with my Mega 9 at the moment. I know it's not the unit, it's the user....
Would you mind sharing the settings you have to make the images come in that clear? I can't find a DI color palette that looks exactly like what you have posted, at least not one with that clarity. Maybe it's the sensitivity or another setting you have....
I do a quick look every time I fish to make sure the settings are best for water conditions that day. It is not often I have to change them but depending on lake and conditions I will make some adjustments. Below the dam at Nickajack the water is pretty clear......my settings today were.......sensitivity 10........contrast 10......and sharpness is set to low. I keep my settings adjusted to give me best view of fish. Come spring I will play with contrast and sensitivity to locate mussel shells looking for shell cracker. By changing contrast and sensitivity settings you can make certain things pop out better. When the water is really full of plankton I have to make some pretty good adjustments. While HB has the default settings at a pretty good spot in my experience.....which is only around 4 years.....these settings can change quite a bit depending on water conditions. My chart speed will vary from 2-5........depending if I am using trolling motor or the gas motor.

Thanks......it is an impressive piece of technology. Having been in a high tech career for nearly 40 years I was always impressed with the way technology was moving. I officially retired almost 6 years ago and I have to tell you things are moving at a much faster clip than I ever imagined. There is no telling what these units will be like as new ones are introduced in the coming years.
