About to give up on hds 5 structure scan

I have hds 5 units with lss1 box. I Can not get the si and di to look right at all. Even in sonar one unit I got setup a Lil bit bit other I can't tell anything. These pics are of the unit I halfway got setup and off si and di. Can anyone help me please? Si and di is snowy looking Lil bit and u can't make out what's fish. It actually looks better in the pic than in person.

You may try setting the contrast or brightness settings. This should make it not only brighter but clearer. Just a thought! The picture seems to be a little faded. You may have accidently hit the backlite and turned the brightness down. this would give a washed out picture. This is on page 6 of the manual, I think. Thanks for the info. I will try and see what happens. I've got the 3d on another boat and it was no problem but this one is driving me nuts. Thanks again I let u know if that helps.

1st Pic is bait fish schools with scattered predator fish = normal Pic ...

2nd and 3rd Pic are bubbles rising from the bottom (angled echoes) = normal Pic in some lakes at certain times of the year ...

4th Pic - I agree with others = put Structure Scan on 455kHz and adjust Contrast ...
