You may have snapshot turned on ..... If there isn't an SD card that can be written to, the waypoint doesn't save properly. Either put the SD card in or turn snapshot off.

Today I was out and using si and when I moved cursor to mark brush piles it would tell me successfully saved but it wouldn't mark the waypoint. Have I turned something off that should be on? It's on my humminbird 899...thanks

Thanks for the input I plugged it in inside last night and found that the snapshot was turned so that may well have been the problem. If not I will be back...lol
