Default Help choosing right Humminbird stuff

I am looking at buying a Humminbird Helix 7 SI GPS G2N or a Helix 9 SI GPS and a Minnkota IPilot Link trolling motor.

The Helix 7 comes with a XNT-9-SI-180-T transducer.

Do I need to swap up to a better transducer?

I have a 17 ft Bass Tracker aluminum boat. Which trolling motor do you guys recommend? Is there a Powerdrive V2 with IPilot link?

What cables will I need to connect the Helix to the IPilot Link?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The upgrade XHS 9 HDSI 180 T xducer will not give the HELIX 7 the 800kHz capability but it will give somewhat sharper images simply because it has longer SI piezoes ...

You will need the AS EC QDE adapter cable for the Ethernet connection to the HELIX 7 G2N ...

The iPilot link should come with an Ethernet cable ...

Powerdrive does show as iLink capable ...

If you can afford the Terrova you will like it a lot better than the PD. A lot smoother deploy and retrieve motor.

Thanks to everyone for your replies.

It does not appear that MinnKota offers IPilot link on the Powerdrive. Only regular IPilot.

I guess I will be shelling out over $1800 for the Terrova, because I want the Link.
