Default Lake Insight maps on HDS units

I recently purchased the Lake Insight Pro V16 card. I have 2 HDS Gen2 units LSS2. Units are linked. Waypoints marked on either unit show on both. When I put the map card in the console unit, the higher definition display only shows on that unit, not on the front unit.

Am I doing something wrong? How do I get the system to share the info on the card? Surely I don't need a card in each unit. The existing waypoint, prior to inserting the card, still show on both units. The package had no instructions. Does the info on the card download onto the unit once it is inserted?

    Help!!

My understanding the only units that share a card are the hummingbird onix units. Going to have to buy another card.

So they will share waypoints but not card info?

FWIW, I have 2 HDS 8's linked to a LSS box, both have Insight preloaded, so which ever one is on map and I mark a spot, it shows on both all the time.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

That is what mines doing. Detailed map at console. I can mark waypoints and they show up on the bow, but the higher detailed map does not. I guess not that big of a deal, but I was told and expected it to share the map.

Do you have Lowrance selected (not Navionics) in the Chart Options of both units ...??

Do you have a minimum 2.0 software version is both units ...??

^^^ This information is wrong. ^^^

As Rickie has mentioned check which software version you running. If you unit has been updated all you have to go into each unit and select the mapping you want to run.
