I'm considering mounting my transducer inside the hull of my fiberglass bass boat for 2 reasons. 1. to avoid drilling holes in the hull and avoid exposing the transducer to damage (though I wouldn't be all that worried about damage on a transom mount). 2. to have the transducer mount that is portable so I could have a similar interior hull mount on my fishing kayak and move the system to whatever craft I'm using.

Thoughts?
