Is the humminbird smart strike card really worth it?

Dropped my boat off today to get it serviced for next year and I ended up getting them to order a helix 9 si gps unit to go on the console as well. Now since I got that part figured out, I'm looking into what cards to get for it and will get a lakemaster for it but seen that smart strike card as well and wondered if it's really worth getting or not. This is my first fancy unit since I'm coming from a elite 5 HDI so I know it'll take some getting used to especially with the side imaging.

I want to check out that SmartStrike feature, however I need to buy new sonar units first.

I haven't seen any info on Smart Strike and hope some experience crappie fisherman or fisherwoman would give the pros and cons.
The Smart Strike feature was the reason I pull the trigger on an Onix hoping it would help me fine crappie faster instead of looking most of the day.
It will be spring before install it.

This is SmartStrike on ONIX ... but the idea is the same for HELIX compatible SmartStike ...



The idea is to highlight "similar" areas of interest ...based on the criteria entered into the "Menu" selections ...
