    Default Lowrance EliteTI Advice

I have pretty much settled that this is the best unit for me. I've read all kinds of specs but I want to make sure before I pull the trigger I'm interpreting correctly.

I plan to buy the 7ti w total scan transducer which will be a transom mounted transducer and the unit will be mounted in the rear of boat (tiller outboard). This will be my searching unit which is why I want side scan on this unit.

I plan to buy a 2nd 7ti without sidescan functionality. I want this transducer mounted on my trolling motor. I will use downscan, sonar, and chart on this unit....no sidescan.

The main thing I want to confirm is that I can network these two units together so as I save waypoints on the rear unit, I can then hop up front and fish those waypoints using the front unit?

Please confirm if possible and if anyone is using this setup or something similar please let me know how it works for you.

    Thanks
no matter what I'm doing, I've got hunting or fishing on my mind...

Yes they can share waypoints when you install a NMEA-2000 network and if you ever decide to get a Motor Guide Pinpoint and a Gateway you can also control the TM with you're Elite Ti
To get the downscan you need the HDI 455/800/83/200 transducer
