Default Humminbird GPS "Puck" Receivers Vs. New Units Technology Helix 10 SI/GPS Combo

With the new units and technology like a Helix 10 SI/GPS Combo is there any advantage to using a Humminbird GPS "Puck" style Receiver instead of whats packed inside the unit?

The internals of the external pucks and of the built-in antennas are the same ...

The advantage is being able to position the external puck closer to the xducer so that Waypoints are more accurately marked ...

And then the AS GPS HS antenna also has a magnetic compass which allows the unit to continuously know which way the bow of the boat is pointing at all times ...even sitting stationary ...

Just put the AS GPS HS on my boat, and for me, money well spent. Makes locating (and staying on) brush piles so much easier. Always seemed to go the wrong way when trying to zero in on a BP. No more.
