I recently bought a Garmin Stryker 7 SV with Chirp. The 2D is amazing at showing fish. The DI and SI has better target separation than I was expecting. I can now tell a school of fish from a school of shad because you can see individual fish in the school.
LOZ,BEFORE THESE UNITS HAD CHIRP ,DI ANS SI WOULD SHOW INDIVIUAL FISH IN A SCHOOL,HAVE 859 AND 1199 AND THEY DO NOT HAVE CHIRP YET I CAN SEE INDIVIUAL CRAPPIES AND CAN TELL ABOUT THE SIZE OF THEM
Has anyone seen a comparison SI/DI chirp to non-chirp? If so, could someone post a link. All I ever see is 2D which looks great! If chirp is so good in SI/DI why are they not pushing it more?
I ALSO HAVE ELITE 7 DI WITH CHIRP,I CAN NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENT ON DI,NOT IN MY THINKING ANYWAY
I hope H'bird puts CHIRP in their under 9" models.
Here's a picture of 4 ping pong balls, that are tied on a line, about 5 inches apart.I really don't see were chirping di would help the separation get any better on di.
