Networking with a Lowrance Gen 2 Touch

I have a Gen 2 Touch 7 which means that I have one card slot. Is there a way to add a useable second card slot? I would like to record sonar data while using a map card in a different slot. There is a NEMA 2000 network on the boat. I know one answer is to purchase an additional Gen Touch unit and connect them but I wondered if there were other options that might be better/cheaper.

I don't believe there is another option. I have the 7 touch as well. I had a gen 2 5" standard and I now have another 7 touch. I do what you want to-run a map on one and a spare card in the other. I really don't think there's much you can do expect carry a spare card and swap them.
