You are correct ... $60 to exchange the XNT 9 DI T for the XTM 9 DI 25 T ...

    http://www.humminbird.com/Category/S...ducerExchange/

If you have the DI unit in any of the 800/900/1100/HELIX 9/HELIX 10/HELIX 12 ... You can instead exchange for the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T for $0 ...

The smaller HB DI units do not have the capability to transmit the 83kHz/200kHz that the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T is tuned for ...

    *XTM 9 DI 25 T is 455kHz 16°/200kHz 28° 2d cone shaped beams and 455kHz 45°/800kHz 75° DI fan shaped beams ...

    *XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T is 200kHz 20°/83kHz 60° 2d cone shaped beams and 455kHz 45°/800kHz 75° DI fan shaped shaped beams ...

Most would rather have the wider coverage 2d beams of the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ...the wider coverage makes it easier to keep brush showing on the 2d displayed image ...

Both are TM shaped pucks ... Both have extra shielding for possible RFI issues ...
