Internal helix vs external puck GPS
I have an AS GS 50 gps puck from one of my old 2d units. I am wondering how it compares to the internal GPS in a helix 9. If it is the same or better I am gonna mount it on the transom so it is right over my transducer. The ducer and the unit are only about 4 feet apart but I already own the thing so why not?
Also, am I correct that only onix can share heading only over Ethernet? So when my heading sensor comes in I can select it over the network but must also use its location as well?
Thanks fellas.
