    Default Helix 9 DI transducer

Is there a better transducer I can swap for? Or is the one that comes with it the best they offer?

There is a DI wide transducer that has 83/200 2D frequencies instead of the 200/455 the stock transducer. As the name insinuates, the 83/200 has a wider beam and therefore more coverage areas .... it would be "better" if that is important to you.

I think it's an even exchange if you contact them before removing the mounting materials from the package.

Just to add a tidbit to Bob's info above ...:

The XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T is a TM puck style housing ...

A custom bracket would need to be made if the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T were to be used on the transom ...

There is benefit to either TM puck ...

*XTM 9 Di 25 T has 455kHz 16°/200kHz 28° 2d cone shaped beams = narrower cones for better target separation ... especially separating fish from bottom detail ...

    *XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T has 200kHz 20°/83kHz 60° 2d cone shaped beams = wider cones for more coverage area ...

The DI is identical in all 3 HB dedicated DI xducers ...
