Hummingbird 587ci GPS Unconnected?

Updated to 7.3
Tried resetting default.

The map is nowhere to be found. Scroll thru views, nothing. No nav options in the settings.......? Agghhh. Are my waypoints gone? Never been backed up. Have not had time to call customer service.
Anyone had this problem.

I know it's time for a new unit but I was hoping to keep this one also.

The unit will not display Chart views or Nav tab until the satellites have been found by the GPS ...

Make sure the unit has a clear view of the sky until the GPS connects ...this can take a few minutes after a software update ...

Go under the Views tab and make GPS Diagnostic view Visible ...

Then exit out of the menus and scroll thru the available views until you get to the GPS Diagnostic view ...

This view will show if the satellites have been found and other diagnostic info ...
