    Default HD DI Transducer

I have a spare HD DI transducer in my closet that is not being used. I was hoping to get some ideas on what to do with it. It came with a humminbird 859 that I have on the bow of my boat. I took it off my trolling motor when I switched to an ulterra and im just using the US2 on the bow only now. So I have an extra HD DI transducer with a trolling motor mount on it. I saw on another thread where a guy has turned one out to the side where he can see under docks and stuff. I think this is pretty cool even tho i dont fish around docks much.

I was thinking maybe mount it on my transom some way and use that transducer in my helix 9 unit that is at my console.

Any ideas would be very fun and appreciated!

I would get me a piece of PVC and a couple of fittings. Mount it to that and hook it up on the front unit and play with it to start with. Just see what it will do and is it good enough to mount and hook up permanent.

You can take what cray said and go even further by using that pvc pole as an underwater periscope. Just point it wherever you want to look. Might be more of a pain than its worth for that though.
