Lowrance questions for y'all
I've always used humminbird. Over the years I've become fairly knowledgable on them. I currently have 1198 and a 859. They each have their own ducer and individual antenna. They are also linked together to share waypoints. I like this set up.
I'm going to buy another boat. this boat has a lowrance hds12 gen2 touch and a hds10 gen1. How/can I link them to share waypoints and can they also use their on separate antenna for better accuracy? What all is needed? Also.. My humminbirds maps cards have 1' contours. Is their a card for lowrance that has that good of detail?
And last... Is their a way I can save all my waypoint and install them in the lowrance?
Also feel free to let me hear y'all pros and cons to these unit comparisons.
I want to give them a try, but I'm not gonna sale my other boat until I know that these electronics are as good as my humminbirds
Thanks in advance for any opinions

All you need for waypoint sharing is an Ethernet cable. You can also share transducers and view structure scan on both units with the correct transducer.
Yes they can use their own internal antennas.
I've never used hb maps so I can't comment.
Your waypoints will have to be converted to a format that Lowrance can use, GPS Babel comes to mind. There may be other programs though.
GPSBabel: convert, upload, download data from GPS and Map programs
