Lowrance 7ti or Helix 7

What a great site. This is my first post. I have been looking at electronic discussions for a week or so and am absolutely overwhelmed with what is out there. I am going to upgrade very soon from a Lowrance 4 dsi that is just too small form my old eyes. I really like the idea of touch screen though I am open to all suggestions. Sort of have down to these 2 models (yeah I know the helix is not touch screen). Please help me decide. I am so new to all this. Thanks.

First off, welcome aboard. You will find tons of information here. Secondly, I'm leaning towards the 7ti. Admittedly, I am biased towards the Lowrance product line. I've had more success with their products and better customer service after owning both brands. If you look over in the member shops, some of the store owners offer deals. Besides, they would be more than willing to give you much more concise pros and cons to boot. Have fun!!!
