    Default TERROVA WITH I_PILOT

Can it be used with out the foot pedal connected? Rather not have it laying around on the floor.

    Thanks

Me either. I keep it in the boat but have no idea how to use it. No need to as long as that remote is working.

Get you a extra charging harness for the boat and don't take it out.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Good idea to keep a couple of spare batteries for the remote on hand. Mine lasted about a year, but varies depending on how much you use it. You can get them at most large drug stores or big box stores, Not hard to find, but some stores that sell button batteries don't carry this one for some reason. I think it is a 2450. but don't trust my memory.

Wilbur, do your homework on those trolling motors before you buy one. I have one and don't really care for it all that much. I am thinking about selling mine and buying a Fourtrex. I was hoping "Spot Lock" would hold tighter than it does. "Area lock" is more like it. The foot pedal feels nothing like a cable steer. The motor that rotates the unit CW/CCW is really noisy.

There are some features that I really do like such as the "speed control" and being able to point the motor and have it follow a heading. If you do happen to use the foot pedal it does come with a long cord and can use it from the back of the boat if needed.

Maybe the motor would be better on a heavier glass boat. If the wind is gusty/strong it really blows my Lund all over the place and the motor is constantly trying to compensate. It can be like a carnival ride some days.
