    Default What size trolling motor.


    16 ft deep v smoker craft.what size trolling motor would you guys recommend.would you buy the power drive v2 or terrova is it worth the extra money.the us2 in the trolling motor does any one us it and what fish finder you run.was going to put helix 9 si at the wheel and a helix 7 or 9 at the bow hooked to the us2 in the motor.what I pilot for trolling.i fish for crappie only spider rigging.thank you guys for your time.

    80 pound Terrova with Ipilot, only way to fly and you will never regret it. Ilink if you are wanting to go that way is really nice. I use the US2 all the time with good results.

    General rule MINIMUM of 3lbs per foot of boat. Always wanna go more if you can afford it. My uncle (back in the day)...."You know why I have a 101? Because thats as big as they make." Of course u need to take in considerations of the amount of batteries. Rees Guide has given EXCELLENT advice! You can't go wrong with going by what he says.

    Gotta agree w/LowePro..there is no such thing as too big a T/M..if they made a 48v I would have one!!
