    Default Minn Kota PD 55

Has anyone spliced and switched over the old style (junk) foot pedal
to the newer V2 foot pedal and had good success?

Also- How does the co-pilot hold up versus the old foot pedal?

I done away with my foot pedal and replaced it with a hand control unit, not to be confused with the wireless co-pilot. It works great and the speed can be dialed in more precisely than with the foot pedal or co-pilot. I haven't heard any feedback on the new foot pedals at all...Didn't even know they had a new one to replace the old one...Here is what myself and several others around here use:

Where can a man find such a controller? I have a Minn Kota 55 Powerdrive V2 and I'd love to have this for bowfishing, etc.

Yes...Just put the CON/MOM switch in the MOM position and push the button on the side as needed and it will just bump you along. I mounted my controller on my rodholder in the front of the boat for "easy access". Works great!!

Hey TNT I would like to know how to get one of those controllers too. How much do they cost? Also, is that a pwm control? I'm looking to extend the run time of my 55a-hr battery for my kayak.
