    Default 859 combo transducer issues

I have owned this unit for a couple years without issue. The other day I dropped the TM and the unit showed crazy bouncing depths with no picture. After I reset the unit, checked the connection and turned it back on it would not even recognize that I had a transducer on the front. Fished with it off for awhile and called it a day. Off water when unit was back on the screens popped up and I could hear the transducer ticking as it should. Does everyone feel as if this may be a transducer going bad issue and I should purchase a new one? Brush pile fishing is where it is at for us right now and I need it to stay on the spot.
