Can't answer first question, as for 2nd one, I don't believe you can

I just bought a new Ranger last weekend and had them put a pair of 1159's on it. My issue that I am having with one of the units on the NAV screen, I was able to mark three brushpiles with way points yesterday with it. As I went to mark a fourth brush pile all it says is saved successfully on the screen. It doesn't say waypoint 004 was created successfully and keeps the waypoint on my chip like I am used to the graphs doing? Does anyone know if there is a option I do not have selected on this unit perhaps? Or could I have a bad unit? The other graph does just fine.
2nd question I have is this. On my old boat I had 999 & 959 on it. and the depth, water temp, time etc was on the left hand side of the screen. On the 1159 it is now at the bottom and I can not read these due to the steering wheel. Is there a way to move this info to the LH side of the screen?
Thanks

Could you maybe have hit the button twice in rapid succession? That will store it without asking if you want to save, rename, etc. Also my unit saves it to the memory on the DF, not on the chip. If you want to save to an SD chip you have to put one it and save the data(WP) on it. Mine only has one slot for SD cards, so if yours has two slots I may be wrong about how yours saves data(WP).
I have a HB Helix and a Lowrance HDS7. The HDS lets you place and size the displays wherever you like, but I don't think you can on the HB,, least not on the Helix unless I missed something.

On your 1159 you should have a option to move read outs to the left side just like your old units. 1100 series only one you can move them on.

Cray, this is a new one to me. Where is that option at in the menu? I'd like to check that out on my 1198's
I'm not aware of any 1100 feature that allows moving the data boxes ...
They can all be shut off ...
Searay is correct that the waypoints are written directly to the unit memory ... Not to the SD Card ... This has to manually be commanded to move the Nav data to the SD Card thru the waypoint management menu under the Nav tab in the Main Menu System ...

I would love to know where that option is on the menu is to move the data boxes. I just cant for the life of me find it. I know how to hide them and adjust how they are in order.
As for the waypoint. I know I said copy to the SD card, I knew that was probably not the correct term I was looking for but I could not figure out how to explain it. Unit memory sounds perfect. I know I have tried even to push the "Mark" button only one time or even hold it in for a second or two and still nothing. I think there is a issue with this head unit, but before I loaded the boat back up and take it all the way back to the dealership I wanted to ask if I was just doing something wrong.
Thanks
If the Screenshot menu is enabled under the Accessories tab in the Main Menu System ... And there is no SD Card in the unit = the unit will say it saved a waypoint ... But doesn't ...
(It's just a quirk in the HB units that create screenshots with the same button that "Marks" waypoints) ...
If this is your issue ... Either disable Screenshot ...or install a SD Card for the screenshot to be written to at the same time the unit is saving a waypoint ...
