Default Mounted LSS2 and 83/200 pics with question

My motor clears these transducers by 4" when trimmed all the way down. Who else has these transducers mount dead center of the transom? Are you having any issues so far? Name: uploadfromtaptalk1438137998798.jpg

when mounting a 'ducer most instructions I've seen call for the center line of the 'ducer to be in line with the bottom of the boat, that said if they work for you that's fine.

I'd say your 83/200 is way too high.

What ill side effects can I expect from the 83/200 being slightly higher?

That is a step directly underneath the ducer. It cuts out and recedes back to the plug of the boat. You think I should get better readings of I flushed it with the step?

It is recommended to not mount the xducer directly in line with the outboard intakes ...

This can cause cavitation (bubbles) forced into the outboard water intake and even cause the prop to "spin out" ...

HB recommends 15" to the side of the centerline ... But I think that can be shortened to some degree ...

It won't work once the boat starts to plane. Much better to just glue it inside the hull.
