Default Does anybody own a Humminbird 398ci SI?

I just got one recently and I am having an issue trying to get it dialed in. I've finally been able to get the 2d image looking OK, but the DI and SI are undistinguishable (looks like S**t). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could it be a transducer mounting issue. I know the 398s small screen doesn't show well in SI or DI. I here the recordings are much better on PC.

I'll try to get it next weekend. The boat is docked at a campround an hour away. Here is my setup:
Boat: 14ft pontoon powered by an 80lb trolling motor (electric lake only) mounted on the transom
HB 398ci SI powered by a dedicated 12volt battery
Transducer is mounted on the transom using a Sully 8001P transducer mount that is fully extended.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As my boat speed has been averaging 1-2 mph, I have my chart speed set at 2.
