    Default 7.510 upgrade issues?

I have it loaded onto 2 898s and one 998 and now it looks like there may be some issues. Greg or anybody else want to comment?

What kind of issues are you having? I've been running that version since it came out, only thing I noticed was sometimes in jigging mode the 2d would be very pixelated.

We tried to update to the 7.510 and the 898 locked up in a loop. It would shut down a couple of pages in after loading then restart all on its own. I had just dumped my Interlink onto it and onto an SD card but it crapped out while updating. HB fixed it but I was hearing that others had been having some similar issues.

Do you have 2 of the units connected thru the interlink and one of them just standalone? You could eliminate the interlink and just connect the 2 units directly with Ethernet, or add a 5 port switch and connect all 3 units together. Waypoints are treated a little differently with Ethernet than interlink, but with Ethernet, you could share them on all 3 units.

Humminbird may not be doing as much interlink testing with the new releases of software since Ethernet is the primary communication method for the new units.....just a thought.

I had just bought an another 898c and an 998c and was in the process of doing away with my interlink box and hooking them up with Ethernet. Was just trying to dump the interlink waypoints to an SD card prior to shutting it down and hooking up the Ethernet cable.

I have the Interlink box and cables listed for sale in the classifieds. Hope I got my nearly 2000 KY and Barkley waypoints removed from it.

Sounds like you got it covered..... I could look those waypoints over for you to make sure they are OK....
