898 humminbird waypoints naming after update

After i updated my 898 to 7.5 I am not able to see the letters while i am naming a waypoint. I can move through the letters and change them but i cannot see them until i get off of the " name" section of the face plate. Is anybody else having this problem. I did not have this problem until after the update. Thanks for any help

You need to set your background color to WHITE. (press power once & select)
If you have your background set to Blue or Black, you will experience this - I think all S/W releases are like this.

Thank you very much for the tip. I do have my background set to blue. I will try this when i get back from work. You know i have always had my background set to blue. I have never had this problem before i did the update so i figured it was a software problem. I will be home in a couple of weeks and i will try this for sure. Thanks again

I have ALWAYS had this issue - AFAIK it was present in the v6.300 release for my old 798ci SI... I do NOT recall my 797c2SI or my 787c2.
I noticed that last year on my 998 and all 3 I own have that issue - but I usually run a white background during the day.

I made it in from offshore. Went fishing and tried this first thing. Worked like a charm . I also got to try out my new helix 5 on the front of the boat. It worked pretty good. I like it. Its not as big a screen as my 898 but for the price its not bad. I have down image and gps and it all worked great . Thanks for the help guys. See you on the water.
