motorguide transducer mount

Thinking of buying a w55 but from what I can tell it is hard to mount a transducer. I have read the post on the minnkota but I don't think the motorguide had the notch for the wire. Anyone else have any luck? Can I order a minnkota replacement shaft and useit or will they not interchange. Also thought about cutting the shaft then sleeving it with a carbonfiber sleeve. May be more work than its worth.just looking before I buy and it not work.

CAN MOUNT IT LIKE KOMOS DID,OR BUY RICKIE'S MOUNT,OR BUY ONE OF THOSE STICK MOUNTS OR MAKE A MOUNT LIKE I DID,I AM ALSO MAKING A MOUNT THAT IS SMALL AND GOES UP AND DOWN BY PUSHING A BUTTON,BUT I ONLY MAKE STUFF FOR ME AND NOT TO SELL, HOPE TO SHOW HOW IT WORK SOON,IT IS NEAT
