    Default Ulterra and Transducer Placement

I got my new ulterra in yesterday! I am confused on how to place my humminbird 859 transducer on it and run the wire to the unit? I have asked a couple people already, and have gotten some advice, but thinking I would post a thread hoping to find different ways or confirm their advice. The more people thinking about something the more Ideas come about, so if ya have any ideas let me know! Hopefully others can learn from this thread as well! Thanx in advance!

Since from what I understand, they use the slot to raise and lower the motor, your going to have to do a install similar to what guys have done on the PdV2. Some info on electronics board on that and on YouTube.

Looks like the US2 would come DI ready, not that much difference and would be a killer option!!!!!

Man it would be a killer option!!! I was let down with it not being an option. I would think something that expensive would have a better option when it comes to fish graphs. lol

With all you have invested already, I would just buy one of these and be done with it.

I have the da 'ducer apparatus for my 360 with a mount adapter for my 1199 transducer works great. I no longer have to worry about those phantom spins. I got that setup to prepare for the ulterra. The 1199 side scan is much better the 360 version.

That would be a great way for them to get a bigger advantage ..... offer various internal transducers.
