    Default Lowrance Transducers

I have Lowrance Elite 4 HDI-Fishfinder-chartplotter with the 83/200 455/800 khz transducer in my power boat and an Elite 4X chirp with just the broadband transducer in my kayak. I'm wanting to swap the head units between both boats to have gps in my kayak with a sd card overlay feature for marsh fishing.
Can I do this and what would I losing using the broadband transducer on HDI unit? Would it be better to just buy another transducer for my kayak?

    New to all these electronics.

    Thanks

After reading a little more into my own question it seems these two units don't use the same power cord? For model with gps I need NMEA cord, there goes my idea.

I would compare the two power cords & the HU connections to be sure before you buy anything. Might call Lowrance to see what they say.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
