Helix 5 with Lakemaster 3

I just got my new lakemaster chip for my helix unit and got out to use it for the first time yesterday. Does anybody that has a helix unit or any other unit have trouble it seeming to take a while to load the maps? or charts? everytime i zoom in or out it seems to take it longer than it should to load the charts again....maybe its just because im new to a map card but I thought it should load faster than its loading.

Probably has something to do with the speed of the processor. Less expensive units will normally have slower speed processor. I know Lowrance had that problem with their first Elite 7 units with charts.

I would agree with cray that it might be the processor speed that slows loading. My Lakemaster does the same on a 798 and a 597.

Maybe my Lakemaster is always fast on my 899.

Mine does the same, its just slow. It works fine on the water depending on your zoom
