Try flipping the prop 180

I just finished install of terrova 80. First time out I noticed some vibration when speed set around 5. Then kicked it up to 7 1/2 and the vibration was bad enough to rattle the mka-47 bracket. I put a dial indicator on the prop shaft and had .002" runout. That seems reasonable to me. Took prop off, inspected, re-installed. It is very noticeable the prop is not right due to the visible wobble of the hub. Anybody else seen this issue? There is a little more slop in the mka-47 bracket than what I figured there would be, but I don,t think there should be that much vibration. Haven't contacted minn Kota yet. Just wanted to see what anybody's thoughts are.
Thanks
Ty
Try flipping the prop 180

If new, contact MK and see what they say. Can't remember off hand, but is the prop mounting hole round, or does it have notch?. If round, can you check to see if the prop is "balanced", similar to how you check a lawnmower blade ???
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
I have flipped the prop 180 but haven't been back out on water to see if that helped. Hole is round but is notched on the inside for the drive/shear? Pin. I will look into how to check balance on mower blade and see if I can do something to check that out. The mka-47 bracket could be tightened up with some minor modification, but i think it would still make a lot of felt vibration in boat. Other than this issue, I love the I plot link and can't wait to get it figured out. Thanks for the help!

Nory, first thing I would do is make sure sheer pin is centered in shaft and that the prop is completely seated properly onto the pin. Not being seated could cause that vibration.
Ok, took off prop and rotated 180, double checked that the sheer pin was centered. Tried it out on the water this past weekend and still have vibration. Called Minn Kota yesterday and new prop on the way!! Hope this helps.
Thanks for the help!

I've had a bad prop before. New one should fix it. I would not modify or fix a new motor. Not your problem!
got the new prop, looks alot better when turned by hand. Hopefully I'll get to try it out this weekend to see if that fixed the problem.
