You have to add it as an overlay. On each page you want it on, you hit Menu, Edit Data Overlay and then select the temp.

Hooker ... make sure all the pins in your unit line up exactly with the female receptor holes in the power/tdx cord. Lost temp function on my E5DSI & come to find out I had a pin out of alignment and it had dug it's own new hole in the soft plastic that surrounds the receptor holes in the power/tdx cord.

I realized I had caused this by wiggling the power cord out of the back of the unit when I unplugged it, then when I tried to plug it back in on subsequent trips, I had to force it to go in & lock. You don't want to do that .... straight in & straight out, and make sure you have the plug lined up right before trying to put it in the unit's socket.

May or may not be your problem .... but, it's worth knowing it can happen, so you'll be careful when plugging & unplugging your unit.

I had the same problem. I finally did a unit restore to factory settings and that cured mine. I had tried every way to turn it on but could not turn it on.
Hope this will fix yours too. If you have waypoints on the unit back them up to the sd card before doing the reset.
