Hoping to see you at Grenada.

If you decide to go with a lowrance touch unit you could get it with an HDI transducer and that would give you 2d and downscan with only one transducer on the trolling motor. You would also be able to link it to another unit later.
There are also some rebates available on the Gen2 touch units right now. I just bought a Touch9 and a Point1 antenna and got a $300.00 rebate on the pair. I'd definitely check with Brian at BBG Before you buy.
That Point 1 has magic under the dome. I like.
I'm waiting for it to warm up so I can finish wiring the new toys up. I didn't have a NMEA network so I'm having to pull the cables in the boat. I'm also installing a separate fuse block to run all my electronics off of.
The more I play with the Touch9 the more I want to order another one. I bought the one I have now for the bow so I could have downscan and 2d up front but now I'm thinking I'd like to replace my HDS7 and LLS unit I have at the console.
I hope it warms up soon because being cooped up in the house with an IPad and my credit card is dangerous.
Thanks for all the info guys. I bought a lowrance touch 9. Now I need to know how to connect the wiring. I'm running it as a single unit on the trolling motor only. I'll get another unit for the console later. Do I just do I just hook red (positive) black (negative) for now. Attachment 192610Attachment 192611
Yes red and black are all you need for now.
Im in the middle of this now and it can be a little overwhelming.......at least dealing with Lowrance products. Knowing what transducer goes with what unit and were can be a pain.
What does the yellow wire provide? I have the touch 7 and just have the black and red connected to power supply. I was not sure, even reading the manual, what the yellow wire was for.
