Default looking for a New HDS 8 gen 2 (83/200).

    I’m looking for a New HDS 8 gen 2 (83/200).
With these units no being made, It is getting harder to find one at a reasonable price.
I have checked countless online sites (including CDC sponsors).
Bass Pro and Cabela’s both have them but just trying to save the 10% sales tax.
    Any Ideas?
Another Question: I fish mostly in 35' or less of water.
    Mostly use the 200khz settings.
How would the 50 / 200khs work for me?

    Thanks,
    Rick

I would say to contact Brian Directly at BBG Marine. I know he doesn't list any on his site but he might have a line on where to get one for you.

My understanding is the 50/200hz transducer is for deeper water applications. I could be wrong, but 83/200hz is the standard for most if I remember correctly.

    Good luck

As mentioned call Brian. Last week there were some issues with his web site and some units didn't show on his list.

    Thanks,
I talked to Brian this morning.
He is out of the HDS-8 model.

Told him to have a great vacation.

I don't believe I am about to say this but...... did you try Amazon.com?

I did a search a little bit ago and found a few on there. Prices not as good as Brian's were but it might be worth a shot

    Thanks,
Found one at my local BPS.
Price was the same as Brian... Just have to pay the darn Sales tax.
They are holding it for me.

    Cabelas has them also.

    I bought one from BPS.
Bit the bullit and paid the sales tax.

Now just have to get some warm weather.

    Thanks,
    Rick
