    Default 859ci HD di transducer question


    Looking to get a trolling motor transducer for my cable steer motor. Question is what is the difference between the XTM 9 DI 25 T and the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T? Which is better? Pros and cons??

    Reason for this is... I use a Terrova when spideringing and the transducer don't really face any dangers....but I swap over to a cable steer when jig fishing and learned to buy the transducer made for a trolling motor mount application after breaking them off on stumps a few times.

    XTM 9 DI 25 T (TM puck style housing) ...
    200kHz 25°/455kHz 16° cone shaped 2d beams - 455kHz 75°/800kHz 45° fan shaped DI beams ...
    narrower cone shaped 2d beams will give a little better target separation

    XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T (TM puck style housing) ...
    200kHz 20°/83kHz 60° cone shaped 2d beams - 455kHz 75°/800kHz 45° fan shaped DI beams ...
    wider cone shaped 2d beams will give more bottom coverage...

    So the DI area coverage is the same between the two?

    And the wide should pick up your jig better in water 10' or less deep huh
