And you mention this only happens on the 2d or DI image view ...
Which means that marking a waypoint at the current boat location and then marking a waypoint to the left on the display (sonar history showing) could indicate the boat has actually not moved very far ...unless the boat were moving fast enough to get outside the EPE of the GPS antenna functionality ...

The times I've had the trouble is when I was on my di screen trying to mark the brush by moving courser to the brush. If I just hit mark it would work if I ever move courser to get the brush dialed in it would say way point already exist. Hope something gets figured out on this. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.
Rnvinc, I get the same error when I have moved an eighth of a mile, and there are no waypoints within 100 yards. So I still think it is a software problem IMHO.

Genec I was wondering if defaulting your unit worked I'm still having the same problem.
Same problem still for me! Have tried restoring defaults, it works for a while then quits.
I'm bout to have me a bird rant like redge did. I want my features to work.
