    I'm considering a new fishfinder. something in the 300 dollar range. I have a 16 alum g3. I know nothing about these di units, but I like the pictures I see on here.
    any suggestions

    Check out the new Helix units by Humminbird. Pretty inexpensive for what you get. Before you buy any unit check with Brian at BBG marine.
