Default Memory card for HDS unit

    HDS Gen 2

From my understanding 32 gb is as big as you can go. Lowrance suggested using Sandisk. I asked them the same question that I am asking here and couldn't get a solution. That is why I am asking people who have been on the water and experienced it. How fast will the units read and write. I am going to get 4 cards at 32 gig (1 card for each lake I fish) but want to know if I can get by with a cheaper card or get the fastest they make. No need to get a 4 fast cards if it won't utilize the speed.

Any other info in regards to the card and the unit please advise. Is 32 gig overkill?

    thanks

I'm running 32 Sandisk in both my units Simrad NSS8 and Lowrance Touch 12 no issues and they read and write fast also use 2 gig cards as backups.

A related question, how much of the disc capacity are you using?
