HDS Structure scan puck?

I get a lot of white wash(turbulence) around my transducer. How far below or above the bottom of the hull are you guys running yours.

Make sure it isn't directly inline with a rib that runs down the length of the boat. This will cause wash. Also, Try changing your Mhz. I had the same issue until I realized I was on the higher setting (800) I changed to 455mhz and have not have an issue since.
