I am in the process of installing an Elite 4x HDI on the back of an aluminum boat and was wondering if everyone uses the factory transom mount to install the transducer ? It seams awfully flimsy to me. The mount on the humminbird transducer I had on there held the transducer rock solid, but the transducer on the Lowrance seems to have play in it even with the bolt tightened down pretty good. Thanks for any help you all can provide.
