Electronics What Would You Do Different?
I am wanting to upgrade my electronics and want your input. Here is what I would like to do, Mark waypoints from both console and bow. Have GPS capability. Not real sure I would use Side imaging much so give your input on that as well. I'm tight so It doesn't have to be the biggest and baddest set-up out there, just want to find brush and mark fish. Give your input, your research findings and just plain old tried and true methods that work. I like to look at all the angles before I jump into a project. Thanks!

I have had units from Lowrance, HB & Garmin...My setup now is with 3 Lowrance units. If I had it all to do over, I would have 2 Garmin units at the console and a Garmin 70 dv at the bow.

I am undecided. Like DonG, I have tried most and presently have 3 lowrance touch. Theys easy to use.
I prefer the screen on my HDS5 gen 1 and DonGs 5x vs anything else as of today.
All the retailers like me, but I am on all the customer support poop list.

I would suggest the biggest screens you can afford, especially if you go with SI. The SI really shines when searching, whether looking for new stuff or something you know is there but may not have a waypoint on. I use DI on the bow more than 2d it seems.
I really like my touch units and would not be without the Point 1 heading sensor/GPS antenna.
