HDS9
Ok my HDS 9 has arrived. I am hoping to get it mounted in the next few days. I have been attempting to read as many threads as possible to determine the best way for mounting the 10" long lss2 transducer.
This is going on a Ranger 185. I do have a jack plate. My first thoughts were to mount it on the bottom of the jack plate. Then I read several threads on another forum that says that creates interference. .??
I really don't want to drill into transom if I can avoid it.
The installation guide said to mount it outside or inside the jack plate with just two screws through the side! That makes me a little nervous and doesn't appear it would be too sturdy.
I would love to get a few opinions from you guys.
Crappie spawning and morels popping up at the same time. What was God thinking when he made that schedule. It's pure torture every spring deciding which to do.
