I use Photobucket ...
This is an extra step in getting the pic into the forum...but using Photobucket allows your IDevice pix to also be stored in the cloud...in case something happens to the originals in the camera roll...

Cray, just take the photo with your IPad and access the site through tap talk. When you make a post, there's a plus circle to the left of the text block. Press the plus and at the bottom you'll see a diagram of a camera, another of a print and a bird for twitter. Just press the print diagram and it will prompt you to select a picture from you album. Select the picture, it will load an attach to your text. Just hit reply to post. Hope this helped.
Have you thought about mounting the LSS-2 transducer on the hull step? In the picture it looks like there's plenty of room.
Google "stern mate" and "stern saver". No holes in your glass, I used the stern saver on a tin boat to mount a LSS1 on the step and it's been there for almost 2 yrs.
Cray. Don't worry about hijacking my thread. I won't lose any sleep over it. LOL.
Brad I just mounted the transducer like you did. I like that. It's still protected and away from the motor. I went ahead and drilled 3 holes in the transom, coated the screws with marine sealer and ran them in. No more than my boat is in the water if they did leak I would never know it anyhow.
Hopefully if all goes well I will be at KY lake 3rd week of October. That may possibly be the first time I get to try out the HDS 9. I am hoping to get down to lake Shellbyville for a quick trip just to check and see if everything works on it.
Thanks everyone for your inputs.
I will have many more questions to come.
Good deal, I'll think you'll be satisfied with the location.
Thanks Cane Pole.
There is not much on here that gets me worked up. Definitely not somebody asking a question on one of my post. Thats what most of you guys and gals are on here for. To help others. Lord knows I have received tons of valuable info from this forum. Just wish I had more to give back. Its hard to give fishing reports and advice when you DON'T get to fish much. have a good day Catch ya all later.

Ok. HELP!
I got the hds 9 installed. Haven't had a chance to get it in water to check everything out. I was playing around with the insight map that came with it. It's ok but would like a better one.
What is the difference between the insight HD, the insight Pro or the insight V14? Any pros or cons on these. What's everyone using. I will predominantly use it on Ky lake or lake shelbyville.
