Having trouble updating my Elite 5 HDI with the new version.

Down loaded version on a microsd and extracted files from the zip. Placed microsd in the unit but nothing happend. Where did I go wrong?

Check the lowrance site for directions and follow 'em "zactly" as they say.

Make sure your MicroSD card is empty. Download the update to your computer, NOT the SD card. Extract/Unzip the file to you computer (NOT the SD card). Then copy the extracted/unzipped files to your MicoSD card. Insert the SD card into your unit and then power I on. The unit will then update automatically.

Before I read your advice I did just what you said to do and it worked. I redid the whole download from the beginning on Monday. I must have extracted it to the sd card the first time. The unit should have known what I wanted.LOL Thanks for help though.
