Am I reading this correctly and this unit does not have GPS capability?

You are reading correctly. NO chartplotter/GPS. All the models that I have seen with an "X" on them are just fishfinders.

Hi Bill, I have a Elite 7 w/e gps. I am not into waypoints etc.. I fish local lakes and a few larger lakes close by. My reason for getting the unit with the gps was to keep from getting my rear end LOST and being able to get back to where I originally started when fishing big water. This is great if you are into marking waypoints and returning to good fishing spots. I originally saw no need for the gps. but if you get fogged in . That gps will be worth the cost......crappie1133

I would get the one with GPS. I just wanted to make sure I was reading the ad correctly. I knew that about the X but had forgot. Again.
