HDS 10 Gen1 issues

having issue with HDS 10 coming on. Its locking up on the first "Lowrance screen" and will not go past that screen, any help would be apprciated

Try a soft reset first and if that doesn't work do a hard reset. Be aware that a hard reset will wipe out all your way points, trails and settings though.

Had the same problem with my hds 10 gen 2. sent it back and they sent me a new one. Haven't put it on yet. If I have any more trouble with it, i'm just getting a refund and going with something else.

Forgive me for asking a dumb question, but are you pushing the accept button when the lowrance screen appears?

I had similar trouble plus several other problems with my HDS 10 Gen 1. Mine would come on and take forever booting up from the Lowrance screen. Sometimes it would reboot itself. Luckily it was still under warranty so I sent it back and they sent me a new Gen 2. No problems at all with the Gen 2! I'd call Lowrance even if the unit is out of warranty!

I saw this issue a few times after an update was applied.

I would download the latest update (to a clean SD card), put it in the card slot and boot it up. Allow the update to finish and it will tell you to remove the card. Remove it and it will reboot. It might sit at the main screen for a little while to finish everything. If it doesn't go past that, you have an issue greater than the steps recommended above can fix.
