Default transducer location on a sea pro

Should I mount at the green or pink sticker....one is about 4 to 5 inches from prop horizontally and to left of a strake....the other is about 10 to 11 inches and right of the strake. Not sure why it's upside down

I would think that the pink marked area would be better.
What type of sonar transducer is this for?
Is the transducer shown working and if so how well does it work?

Its for a humminbird 1199 si. I would mount a transducer board but not much room under the step plus the step insures the si beam isnt close to the motor. I might try the pink spot and worse case if it doesn't work, I can cut a custom width board and put over the holes later if it doesn't work. I wanted to try the pink so it would show depth better at higher speeds but was worried it would be a little close to the prop. I wouldnt think it would be an issue because its in front of it and 4 or 5 inched to the side. The existing one works fine but it does quit registering ocassionally....not often the boat only goes about 32 or so with the prop I have on it so fast speeds are not gonna happen.

It is recommended to mount the transducer on the right side of the transom due to the rotation of the prop and surface distortion caused by the prop wash. I found this out after I mounted mine on the left side. I had removed a couple from the right and was trying to avoid too many holes in the same spot. Need to put one of the mounting boards on the transom so I don't have to drill to many holes.
The prop rotates to the right and I guess it is throwing bubbles up into the cone of the prop if it is mounted on the left side. I had always put mine on the right side because it was closest to the console where the DF was mounted. When I read the instructions on installing my HDS7 that I recently got, it specified the right side and explained why as noted above.

Oops. Just noticed your first picture was upside down, so you are on the correct (right) side. I had never heard a reason for that until I read it in the Lowrance instructions.

Mounted it at the pink tape location and tried it this weekend. It reads pretty good even while running, I can mark bottom depth on 2d while running, the other reads lots of clutter. It has a lot of bubbles that fast but thats acceptable as long as I can read depth of bottom. I do think I will try to lower it maybe a quarter inch to see if I can improve the readings while running. The front is about split with the bottom but maybe its not quite deep enough....Looks great up to 8 mph without any interference. Its pretty amazing to see prop wash and stuff on the di and side scan

I have mine about where your Pink mark is and It works fine.
I had to lower it a little more and it works great with no issues.
