Default Lowrance ELITE 7 and Elite 7 CHIRP UPDATE !!!

Guys I posted on other threads how my ELITE 7's were slow to respond and refresh when I zoomed in or out of the Navionic Map.

Lowrance put an update 4.0 at the end of June. My units are working 100% better!!

No unexpected shutdowns, map refreshes within 3 seconds. I'm one happy camper now!

If you are experiencing issues with your Lowrance Elite 7 give this update a try!!

Good to hear. I just installed it, but haven't tried it out yet.

Glad to hear this ctf58, you got yourself a good bang for the buck unit. The down imaging on this unit is really good. With this corrected now, I would tell anyone to pull the trigger on a Elite 7 HDI unit. Alot of people may not know this so I will spill this info, an Elite 7 HDI transducer will work on an HDS Touch unit but not on an HDS push button unit. That way you don't have to mount that long gaulty LSS2 transducer, you do lose side imaging capability however, all other features are intact. Now go hunt you some timber plots and mark away my friend. Congrats!

My lss2 is so long, I use it as a rescue device! I pulled 2 kids out with it over the holiday.
"Ok kid, grab the transducer! You'll be fine now."
